Hello fellow writer, welcome to Your EveryDay
Write
I published the first version of Your EveryDay Write (YEW)
in 2002 as a mailing list. In the first iteration of YEW,
writing prompts and writing tips went out to writers
several times a week. The list was very popular, and helped
many new writers to start writing and build writing
careers.
So this is the second iteration of YEW, created by popular
demand for my writing blog's readers who want prompts and
tips delivered via email.
How will YEW help you as a writer?
You'll receive two writing prompts plus a writing tip twice
a week from YEW.
If you're a new writer, I hope that YEW will encourage you
to build a writing "habit". When you write every day,
writing becomes less intimidating, and just something you
do. The ability to write whenever you need to will stand
you in good stead throughout your life. The ability to
write is vital to success in any career. Of course, writing
skill will also help you if you decide to become a
professional writer.
If you're already a professional writer, YEW will help you
to break through any blocks and limitations you have - and
all pro writers have those. YEW will help you to write
more, and to have more fun with your writing. It may also
show you new avenues you could explore as a writer.
You'll find that YEW is carefully structured - complete the
prompts and something magical will occur. You'll not only
build a writing habit, you'll also be well on the way to
becoming the writer you were born to be.
Who is Angela Booth?

If you haven't met, online
or offline - Hi! I'm thrilled to meet you. I've been
writing professionally for 30 years, and have written
books, articles, copy for businesses, and much more. I
love reading, writing, and exploring writing; it's a
wonderful life.
I started my writing career writing romance novels,
published by MacDonald-Futura in the UK. The novels taught
me to write. When I started writing magazine articles I was
published immediately, so I realized that whatever you
write, writing is writing - skills you learn in one area
are easily transferred to another.
My career as a writing teacher began while I was still
primarily a novelist; I was asked to teach courses at a
community college, and went on to write for a writers'
magazine.
With regards to the Web, my love affair with the Internet
started before the Web, in the days of Bulletin Board
Systems and CompuServe, a couple of decades ago. At first I
used the Internet because it was fun, and for research.
These days however, I seem to spend more of my time writing
for the Web than I do writing for print.
Here's a list of my writing-related
blogs.
And here's a list of my currently available writing
manuals.
I hope you enjoy YEW. Please contact me at any time with questions,
and/ or topics for writing prompts and writing tips.
Enjoy!
I wish you much success; happy writing.
Affectionately
Angela Booth
